Biryani .. taste and health together


 Biryani is a delicious and flavorful rice dish that is popular in many parts of the world. It is typically made with rice, meat, vegetables, and spices. Here are two recipes for tasty biryani:


Chicken Biryani


Ingredients:


2 cups basmati rice

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

1/2 cup yogurt

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1/4 cup chopped mint leaves

2 onions, sliced

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 green chili, chopped

1 tablespoon oil

Salt to taste

Instructions:


Rinse the rice in a bowl of water until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.

In a bowl, combine the chicken, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, yogurt, cilantro, and mint leaves. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.

Heat the oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the tomatoes and green chili and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft.

Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.

Add the rice and water to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.

Serve hot and garnish with additional cilantro and mint leaves.

Vegetable Biryani



Ingredients:

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 green chili, chopped

1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

1/2 cup yogurt

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1/4 cup chopped mint leaves

1 cup mixed vegetables, such as carrots, peas, potatoes, and cauliflower

Salt to taste

Instructions:

Tips for making biryani:
